Join us for an evening of film, conversation and reflection, where personal stories and global realities meet.

Kunsten invites you to a special screening of the documentary 'A Fox Under a Pink Moon', followed by a talk with journalist and human rights advocate Wahida Faizi.

A Fox Under a Pink Moon offers a poetic and powerful glimpse into life, displacement and resilience. Through intimate storytelling and striking imagery, the film opens up questions about identity, freedom and what it means to rebuild a life after loss.

After the screening, Wahida Faizi joins us for a conversation about the film and her own experiences. As a journalist in Afghanistan, she put her life at risk to tell stories that mattered. Following her escape from the country, she now lives in Denmark and works with International Media Support. Her personal journey adds a vital and human perspective to the themes explored in the film.

The talk will be an open and reflective conversation, inviting the audience to listen, think and engage with questions of migration, courage and the power of storytelling. The event is held in English.

About the film

Over five years, young Soraya documents her repeated attempts to escape from Iran to Europe using her mobile phone. Told entirely through her own footage, A Fox Under the Pink Moon is an intimate and award-winning self-portrait.

Soraya grew up in Iran as the daughter of Afghan refugees and lives under constant control and violence. When she decides to flee, the camera becomes her closest companion — following her escape routes, in hiding places and at home.

Winner of the main prize at IDFA, A Fox Under the Pink Moon is a powerful first-hand account of displacement, creativity and resistance — and a rare portrait of a young woman who refuses to let her life be defined solely by borders and documents.
