As a responsible museum, our aim is to protect the environment and nature.

Kunsten’s Environmental Policy

  • Constantly seeks new knowledge and technology to ensure greater environmental protection.

  • Launches initiatives and utilises products that save energy and water.

  • Ensures a high degree of recycling and minimisation of waste.

  • Encourages our suppliers to mirror our environmental standards.

  • Constantly complies with Green Attraction criteria and actively deploys the scheme’s recommendations.

Special efforts in Brasserie Kunsten

The menu at Brasserie Kunsten is always based on the best seasonal ingredients – preferably local produce. A large and ever-increasing part of the Brasserie’s ingredients and products are organic or produced with respect for the environment. We save resources in production and strive to avoid food waste. The aim of all these efforts is to serve you a delicious meal that you can enjoy with a clear conscience.

Help us become an even greener museum!

Do you have any suggestions or comments on how Kunsten could attain a greener future on the basis of initiatives, partnerships and creative ideas? If so, please email us at  green@kunsten.dk.

In 2022, Kunsten became the first art museum to be awarded the ‘Green Attraction’ distinction.

What can our suppliers do?

As a certified Green Attraction, we need to fulfil a wide range of criteria for environmentally friendly operation. Accordingly, we make constant demands on our suppliers, so they too get the chance to do something. Therefore, we generally take a positive view of partners who make an active effort on behalf of the environment and constantly seek to reduce the environmental impact of a product or service. This could be anything from minimising their consumption of water, energy and chemicals to the use of less, and environmentally friendly packaging, mode of transport etc. etc.
