WONDERS – Masterpieces from Private Collections in Denmark

The exhibition displays the quality, variety, and international breadth of 25 Danish private art collections. Displaying more than 200 artworks, the exhibition shows a wealth of 20th century art histories, which are not generally available in museums and exhibition venues in Denmark.
In an additional section called “Collector’s Choice”, the collectors have selected a single work from their collections, which has a particular significance for them. And in a final section, Danish artist Nicolai Howalt has converted his visits to the collectors’ homes into 24 photographic works, that show how the collectors live with their art, when it is not hanging on the walls of a museum.
