Join a special yoga experience with Amanda Borby in the middle of the exhibition Sisters Hope & Kunsten. Here, the yoga session becomes a sensory journey, where the sound, scent, and intimate lighting of the exhibition create the setting for a meditative moment.

The exhibition invites you to step into a poetic alternative to the pace of everyday life. The yoga session consists of gentle movements, long stretches, and time to feel your body, the floor beneath you, and the space around you. You may feel inspired to end the experience in Sisters Hope’s dormitory, where you can lie down in the beds and listen to 'The Poetic Self Exercise'.

The yoga focuses on presence and immersion — and on experiencing art with your whole body. You do not need any prior experience with yoga to participate, and the exercises are adapted so everyone can join.

If you have joined a yoga session before, you are very welcome to take part again. Each session is unique and shaped by the current exhibition and the space we are in.

About Sisters Hope

The internationally acclaimed performance group Sisters Hope works in the field between art, activism, research, and learning. Their practice is about democratising art — not only by viewing it, but by living in it and inhabiting it.

The group was founded by artist Gry Worre Hallberg in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis as an alternative to a world governed by economic rationality. Instead, Sisters Hope points towards the aesthetic, the sensory, and the poetic as ways of being in the world.

For Sisters Hope, art holds the potential to create change — both within ourselves and in society. At Kunsten, you will have the opportunity to step into their universe as they temporarily inhabit the museum’s spaces.
