Experience the artist Arvida Byström (b. 1991, Sweden) in an encounter with Harmony - an AI sex doll.
In her performance, Byström stages an encounter with Harmony on the Kunsten Summer Lounge stage. A luxury version of a sex doll, Harmony is controlled by artificial intelligence. She is designed to learn, and to have a real conversation with her owner.
Byström’s performance investigates digital feminised objects such as Apple’s Siri. Because, even though they are artificial objects, they have a gendered expression. Can you really have complex conversations with these automatic learning protocols?
The Swedish artist works in the fields of performance, installation art and photography, using them to create immersive landscapes that spotlight the body. Her artworks challenge traditional perceptions of gender, body and sexuality and pave the way for discussion and negotiation.
This evening is all about nutrition, weight loss and health. You’ll be given a guide to critical thinking that will help you distinguish between truth and lies, misinformation and conspiracy.
Morten Elsøe (b. 1986), who holds MSc in molecular nutrition and food technology, is an author, debater and speaker.
Moderator: Adnan Al-Adhami is a journalist and satirist on DR (Danish Broadcasting Corporation). He is best known for his programme Adnan på tværs, in which he humorously exposes the hypocrisy of politicians and companies who practise the likes of greenwashing.
The Swedish singer/songwriter has a holistic approach to music, creating an incredibly beautiful sensory universe that inspires contemplation.
Hultén draws inspiration from a wide range of genres such as blues, film music, electronic and grunge, and from illustrators and visual artists such as Tove Jansson and Yoshitaka Amono.
Hultén’s world is one of tranquillity, finger-picking on guitar, ethereal synthesizers and melancholic yet joyful melodies.
You’ll be drawn deep inside a reflective, personal world of art and poetry.
3.00 - 4.30 PM
Are you a football mad, a roligan or a bench warmer? Whatever you are, check out Sydbank’s giant football-dart tournament. Kunsten and Sydbank will be awarding some great 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. All you have to do is turn up and sign up on the day.
In the park, you can take on friends throughout the Summer Lounge – both those you know and those you haven’t met yet – in football billiards, kubb or ladder golf.
6.00 - 7.00 PM
Focus on what you think is important. Create a magazine for your teenage self. Set your own agenda. Be your own editor and cut, paste and create.
There may be limited spaces for workshops in the park, so we advise you to turn up well in advance.
3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
(Regn)buens Bogcafé is a locally owned bookstore/coffee shop in Aalborg, selling both new and second-hand LGBT+ literature. It’s the first of its kind in Denmark. The book café is run by two queer people and best friends, Emma and Kristine. On a daily basis you will find them at Maren Turis Gade 12 in Aalborg, but today they’re popping up in the park
3:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Stop by POPUPLOP’s fashion activist clothing exchange station, which will take place in the park every Wednesday during the summer. Heaven knows what you’ll find! If it’s time to clear out your wardrobe and make room for new finds, then bring a pile of your clothes! The more, the better!
POPUPLOP is supported by GRO SELV, a community of young people who experiment throughout Denmark with green initiatives.
