This evening features a double taste of Fallulah - in a concert and a talk.
This is Emma Holten’s second year as a host. She is a feminist activist and lecturer. She has made a name for herself as one of the significant voices on the subjects of equality, power and oppression in Denmark.
“It’s an invitation to spend time together on a sweaty dance floor in New York at 3.00 in the morning, in a futuristic technicolor jazz club, in a floating sky with fallen angels and twinkling stars, and in the quiet reverberation of your reflections.”
That’s how Fallulah describes her new album, Celeste.
Join her as she opens this year’s Summer Lounge with songs both old and new. To celebrate this lovely sunny afternoon in the park, Fallulah is performing in a special duo setup that will help lend her tracks an exquisitely alternative sound.
Fallulah is a Danish-Romanian singer/songwriter who made her big breakthrough in 2011 with her song ‘Out of It’.
While her music is classified as pop, she fuses it with indie rock and Balkan beats. Fallulah describes her music as rock and danceable folk music that ranges from the Balkans to Broadway.
6.00 - 7.00 PM
Are you torn between your inner fashionista and your concern for the climate? So, come and take part in POPUPLOP’s workshops and find inspiration for sustainable, innovative and courageous clothing consumption.
POPUPLOP is a fashion activist movement that rethinks the fashion industry and experiments in a creative community, using everyone’s look and relationship to clothes in the perspective of identity, gender and sustainability.
There may be limited spaces for workshops in the park, so we advise you to turn up well in advance.
3.00 - 8.30 PM
Stop by POPUPLOP’s fashion activist clothing exchange station, which will take place in the park every Wednesday during the summer. Heaven knows what you’ll find! If it’s time to clear out your wardrobe and make room for new finds, then bring a pile of your clothes! The more, the better!
POPUPLOP is supported by GRO SELV, a community of young people who experiment throughout Denmark with green initiatives.
