TALK: Ditlev Tamm + Filiz Yasar: Why Does Wokeism Piss People Off? – Moderator: Svend Brinkmann

People totally lose the plot when the discussion turns to using the word ‘Eskimo’ or eating meat. Why does wokeism get up some people’s noses? And what can we do to build bridges?

Filiz Yasar is a journalist, radio host and woke.

Ditlev Tamm (b. 1946), a professor in the history of law at the University of Copenhagen, is an author, a self-declared conservative and a crossdresser.

Moderator: Svend Brinkmann is a professor of psychology whose trenchant views on people and society have made him a national poet.

Music: AySay

AySay is a Danish-Kurdish trio from Aarhus, led by Luna Bülow Ersahin on vocals and saz (a long-necked lute).

Their music is a uniquely beautiful melting pot of music that mixes traditional Anatolian folk music with western pop and Nordic soundscapes.

With Aske Døssing Bendixen on percussion and Carl West Hosbond on guitar, AySay create their very special signature: floating, curious world music that celebrates diversity.

The lyrics are in Danish, Turkish and Kurdish.

TOURNAMENT: Football Darts in the Park – Win Great Prizes

3.00 - 5.00 PM

Are you a football mad, a roligan or a bench warmer? Whatever you are, check out Sydbank’s giant football-dart tournament. Kunsten and Sydbank will be awarding some great 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. All you have to do is turn up and sign up on the day.

In the park, you can take on friends throughout the Summer Lounge – both those you know and those you haven’t met yet – in football billiards, kubb or ladder golf.

WORKSHOP: POPUPLOP

6.00 - 7.00 PM

Are you torn between your inner fashionista and your concern for the climate? So, come and take part in POPUPLOP’s workshops and find inspiration for sustainable, innovative and courageous clothing consumption.

POPUPLOP is a fashion activist movement that rethinks the fashion industry and experiments in a creative community, using everyone’s look and relationship to clothes in the perspective of identity, gender and sustainability.

There may be limited spaces for workshops in the park, so we advise you to turn up well in advance.

CLOTHING EXCHANGE STATION: POPUPLOP

3.00 - 8.30 PM

Stop by POPUPLOP’s fashion activist clothing exchange station, which will take place in the park every Wednesday during the summer. Heaven knows what you’ll find! If it’s time to clear out your wardrobe and make room for new finds, then bring a pile of your clothes! The more, the better!

POPUPLOP is supported by GRO SELV, a community of young people who experiment throughout Denmark with green initiatives.
